About Me -

Hi y’all!! I’m Crystal. I’m a sinner saved by grace, hallelujah! I find it very therapeutic when I’m sewing or crafting. It’s my passion to exemplify the fruit of the Spirit by sharing with you. Sewing and quilting are my specialty. When I shop for clothes, I always put it back on the rack because I tell myself “I could make that for a fourth of the price”. I want to TEACH YOU how to sew and quilt so you too can create your own beautiful things! So here’s everything you never wanted to know about me. LOL – My favorite question is “What do you need, and how can I help you?”, So let me know, K.

Mamma ~

My Mamma taught me everything I know. (She makes me say that) lol! I learned how to sew when I was in the fourth grade in 4-H. Yes, she was the teacher for our group. The sewing continued at home. She made me rip out a lot and I tend to be a perfectionist to this day. So thanks Mom for always making me do it right. Both of my grandmothers were seamstresses also, so I come from a long line of make-it-yourself-ers. I continue to take classes to learn so I can teach others what I have learned.

Daddy ~

My Daddy instilled in me a deep love for the Lord. I trust in him daily and try to remember to lay it all at the foot of the cross, have faith, and let God handle any situation. My favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5,6 – “Trust in LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Family ~

I grew up in a close knit family with two brothers and a sister. Things I experienced: love, perseverance, fun, sharing, games, pranks, and maybe a little bit of mischief. I am married to a retired football coach who makes me laugh every day. He is my soulmate and my rock. We had two beautiful daughters who are the joy of my life. We lost my oldest daughter to suicide in 2018. It was a tragic and devastating event in our lives and we are still trying to make sense of it. I can’t even begin to describe the loss. My other daughter is my best friend. I have five grandchildren who call me “Gaga”. I LOVE them sooooo much and try to spend as much time as I can with them. They truly bring me so much JOY! Speaking of joy, I try to find joy in something every day.

Experience ~

I have been a florist, secretary, in human resources, payroll, accounts payable specialist, cleaned offices, babysitting, sewing factory line sewing, waitress, and even hoed cotton! For real, y’all! I am a photographer and a Mary Kay beauty consultant. I am always busy doing something. My Grandma Kitchens always said “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop” and I guess I believed her.
