Easy DIY Burp Rags
Easy DIY Burp Rags
To begin, every new mom could use a ton of burp rags. Â Learn to make some easy DIY burp rags for yourself, your grandchildren or for some awesome baby shower gifts. Â Let’s dig in!!!
The reason these are so easy is because you take purchased cloth diapers and add some cutesy fabric to one side of them.
These are the ones I purchased for these gifts -> Â Gerber 10 pack cloth diapers

I pre-washed these!!!
Time to Pick your fabric
There are so many cute fabrics out there. Â You only need about 1/2 yard. Â You can find leftover fabric from your stash pile for these. Â Measure your purchased cloth diapers. Â You cut your fabric about 1″ larger than the cloth diapers. Â With the ones I found, I cut my fabric 14″ x 20″. Â Square up the edges. Â (Be sure to cut the selvages off)

Press your fabric.

Put your fabric right sides together. Â Stitch 1/4″ seams around the outside edges, leaving a 4″ opening on one side. Â Trim your fabric to match the cloth diaper. Â Trim the corners.

Turn right side out through the opening. Â Push all the corners out good. Â Press flat. Â Slip-stitch the opening closed. Â You can skip that step if you wish because you are going to top stitch it.
In conclusion
You are now ready to top stitch. Â Stitch 1/8″ from edge all the way around.

Lastly, sew a seam to join the two pieces together down each side of the middle where the thicker padding is.

Good Job!!! Â Now make a few more and you have a nice gift.
Whip out a few bibs with these DIY Baby Bibs and you have an even nicer gift.
Don’t forget a Baby Receiving Blanket, or maybe a Swaddle Blanket, or maybe even a Fleece Blanket with a satin binding.
Spoil that baby up!!!
Enjoy! Â Thanks for reading.
